A Choice of Sites!

We have 2 CLs on our property. The original Greenacres CL was we believe opened in 1983. The Farm CL had its first visitors in 2008. Whilst the 2 sites are only 100 metres apart there are no shared facilities and the 2 sites are separated by mature poplar, conifer and fruit trees. Both sites are restricted to 5 caravans/motor homes at any one time and neither have WC or shower facilities. Note that when approaching from the B4425 the newer Greenacres Farm site is before you get to the house and the original Greenacres site is past the house. To aid those looking for us on Google maps etc the postcode for both sites is GL7 5LZ.

Greenacres CL

"Cosy, sheltered and secluded with hardstandings"

Farm CL

"Spacious and open"

The site has easy access, is flat, has 5 hardstanding pitches with the remainder being lawned, all pitches have access to a 16 amp electric hook up and 5 pitches have a water tap. It is sheltered on 3 sides by trees and hedges with the remaining side looking out over open countryside.

The site is in excess of an acre, has easy access, is flat, regularly mown and each of the 5 pitches (18 metres apart) has its own 16 amp electric hook up and water supply.

Online Booking

We have an online booking system that is linked to the availability calendar on our bookings database. This is operating well with about half our bookings now coming by this route. We will still need to make a manual check of the Caravan Club membership number and double check availability before sending a final confirmation of the booking. Online Booking

Moving On

We have run the Greenacres CL for 21 years and the time has come where we want to move on so that we can enjoy getting out in our own caravan a little more. We have sold the property and will be moving out in September. Both CL sites will close at the end of August. The new owners plan to re-open both CL's, subject to CAMC approval, next spring. They will be taking over the website so keep checking it for updates. We wish to thank all those that have supported us over the years, we will miss you but maybe we'll see you on a CL site somewhere when we are on our travels.

Open All Year

Both sites are open all year although we would suggest that the original Greenacres CL with its hardstandings is the better option from November to February.

Dogs are very welcome but must be kept contained or on a lead when within the CL. We have 2 fields adjoining the CLs and one will normally contain sheep and the other will be empty to allow dogs to be run free. Which field has the sheep will vary. Normal rules about cleaning up afterwards apply.

Caravan & Motorhome Club Members Only

Both sites are Certificated Locations (CLs) restricted to members of the Caravan & Motorhome Club and run by Alan and Elizabeth Franklin. Please do not attempt to book if you are not a member if the Caravan & Motorhome Club as in no circumstances will we accept your booking.

The sites are located about half a mile from the beautiful Cotswold village of Bibury in a rural setting.

Public Transport

There are 4 buses a day into Cirencencester and 4 buses back. The bus stop is about 500 yards from the sites. The cost of the return journey is about 3.50. More details can be found by following the 'Timetables' link on the Pulham's Coaches website. It is the 855 Moreton to Cirencester service

Mobile Phone Coverage

Mobile phone coverage is very good for Orange/EE/T-Mobile and Three. Coverage is poor (but not impossible) for Vodafone and Tesco. I've no knowledge of other networks

We have recently updated the WiFi on the Farm site and is now free and no longer restricted to BT WiFi users. We believe that it is possible to connect from all pitches. Please ask for the password on arrival. If connection from the pitch is not possible then it should be possible to connect from the information hut which contains a computer desk, chair, lighting and a power socket to allow access in comfort! Access from the Greenacres site is not possible.

Gardens and Garden Produce

The garden at Greenacres was listed in the 2014 and 2015 NGS Yellow books and opened to the public as part of that scheme. If you would like to look round during your visit then we would be happy to show you around in return for a donation to the Alzheimer's Society. You will find full details of our garden here. Garden produce is often on sale supplied fresh from the garden and there is a tray in each information hut with an honesty box. At some point during the season we aim to have the following for sale:- rhubarb, tomatoes, runner beans, courgettes, lettuce, leeks, peppers, chillies, marrows, beetroot, apples, plums and herbs. All proceeds from sales will go to the Alzheimer's Society. Why Alzheimers?

Information Hut

There is an information hut on both sites which is well stocked with 'places to visit' leaflets, details of the local places to eat, maps, telephone directories etc.
